kenhuggins
Hello,... Has cCleaner ever been available in a software bundle? I'm curious because, until recently I didn't know what cCleaner was, yet it is on one particular Dell computer, approximately from 2002. Does anyone have any idea if it has ever been part of a software bundle? Thank you
Moderators Nergal Posted May 4, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2010 It may indeed be that at one point Dell included ccleaner in it's preinstalled programs. Those packages change with the wind so it would hard to know for sure. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Aethec
I don't think so - unless Piriform paid them. Piriform French translator
Thrak
Probably installed by someone who used your computer, if you didn't. Check the CCleaner version to see approximately when it was installed. Check Add/Remove Programs control panel to see when it was last used (unless you started the app, in which case it would show when you opened it).
