ICQ Support

Zorry,

Do you know in what files and/or folder(s) the history and those temporary files of ICQ are stored ? Then you could try to use the ""Include"" feature in CC. (""Options"", ""Include""). A good place to start looking for these files is the folder called ""C:\Program Files"" or ""C:\Documents and Settings"" (Windows XP).

Perhaps using Piriform's Defraggler could reveal in which folders that information is stored, as well. By using that program I learned a number of useful things about the Windows filing system.

%APPDATA%\ICQ\

there are many many confusing folders & files

seems that every icq account has an own file-cache (for recived files from other users) and an own history

also there are many crap-files from updates, xtraz..

yeah i know i could make it with the "Winapp2.ini" if i had the time, but i think there are soo many people using ICQ AND CCleaner that should be a standard function..

ps: i have icq 7

Zorry,

Read this thread

http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=28214

It contains - IMO - enough information to build your own ""Winapp2.ini"" entry to wipe ICQ info. If you have succeded building such an entry and it works well then post it here in this thread. Then others who use ICQ will benefit as well.
