eLcHiCoTeMiDo
Hi everyone. The issue is CC detects most of the system files within WINDOWS/Program files folders as temporary files, I ran it in a fresh XP SP3 installation under VirtualBox version 3.1.4 r57640 with Ubuntu 9.04 as host OS; very few windows applications installed, the last one was Windows Search 4.0 for Windows XP (KB940157) and activation of Indexing stuff. The first time CC deleted 1.6 GB of system files, almost all my Windows installation included folders in Program files, that was a mess, Windows ran but not all the applications. Well, I had to clone again the original virtual machine in order to know what happend. I was able to do the cleaning tasks by uncheking the Temporary files item under System, after that, i checked it again, analyze and I realize CC was detectin almost all system files and folders as temporary files. What's going wrong? If anyone had the same problem or knows a solution please let me know. EDIT. Sorry, the title must says "CC 2.29.1111 deletes system files"
Uranus One
Clone again the original virtual machine, Open your CC, analyze, and then in the result list do right-click --> Save to text file... Attach the "Saved log" in your next message. That's too weird, unless the system variables in your virtualized system were changed. Run my attached cmd for view your current System variables in the Virtualized SO. My result (Spanish Windows XP) HomeDrive = C: SystemDrive = C: SystemRoot = C:\WINDOWS WinDir = C:\WINDOWS ProgramFiles = C:\Archivos de programa CommonProgramFiles = C:\Archivos de programa\Archivos comunes AllUsersProfile= C:\Documents and Settings\All Users HomePath = \Documents and Settings\Familia UserProfile = C:\Documents and Settings\Familia AppData = C:\Documents and Settings\Familia\Datos de programa Temp = C:\DOCUME~1\Familia\CONFIG~1\Temp Tmp = C:\DOCUME~1\Familia\CONFIG~1\Temp Current Folder = C:\ Current Drive = C: Variables.zip CCleaner User && Defraggler User
