Hello everybody.

I want to buy a new computer, mainly for gaming.

I seek maximum settings and good gameplay, so I'm gonna choose the parts one by one by myself.

Look to what I've made so far:

Case: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/P...ase-PC-60FN.htm

PSU: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/P...525W-PRO-82.htm

Processor: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/C...65-AM3-3-4G.htm

Hard Disk: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/H...-WD6400AAKS.htm

Drive: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/O...W-Sata-Bulk.htm

Motherboard: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/M...-790FX-GD70.htm

RAM: http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/R...31333002GMU.htm

Graphics Card: http://www.multirama.gr/products/product?p...mp;catid=020300

What do you say?

Should I swap anything?

Btw all these together are 851 Euros or 1286 US dollars...

Is it worth it?

Unless you a going to physically visit each store to buy the parts it may work out cheaper to order from the one place (depending on shipping costs from multiple online retailers)

$1286 USD seems a lot for a PC that doesn't include a monitor in the price so,

it may also be worth finding a local pc forum like PC MAG http://e-pcmag.gr/

(I'm assuming you are in/around Greece seeing you are shopping at .gr domains) to get better bang for buck recommendations.

On to the parts (not relating to price):

*LianLi are ok for a light cheap case, you may want to see one in store (if possible) to ensure you are happy with it.

*as for the power supply it's better to go a known brand like Antec or Thermaltake (it should have some good weight to it)

*Are you set on AMD as I'm sure the Intel's i5's and i7's are out performing them.

*HDD is ok (depends on bang for buck)

*As for ram if you are overclocking get a good name brand, if not get the cheapest you can and if you are getting Vista 64bit or Win 7 64bit you might as well have 4GB of ram.

(as two seperate 2GB stick in Dual Channel combo)

*Depending on the price difference look at the 5870 but be careful you have enough room in your chosen case and space between ports on the motherboard,

as these can get BIG (I have the 4870 its phat and long)

*Again it would be worth checking and posting at the local pcmag forum and a dedicated hardware forum like:

[ I'm sure the others here would like a chance to help as well tho' :) ]

Along with fieryone's advice - the AMD process you have chosen might be a quadcore, but compared to Intel's product's, they're only comparable to the older Core 2 Quad's. The newer Intel i5's and i7's are so much more powerful. With that being said, the 5870 is overpowered for that AMD processor you chose. What resolution is your monitor/ what resolution will you be playing at?
