SusieQ
I'm having problems getting credit for surveys at a certain site and they recommend turning off CC until the survey is finished. and then turn it back on. Can this be done without uninstalling CC? TIA.
fireryone
CC isn't an active cleaner, it only cleans if you run the cleaner or you have set it to clean on startup, so you shouldn't have to disable it or uninstall it. fireryone
Kas
I'm having problems getting credit for surveys at a certain site and they recommend turning off CC until the survey is finished. and then turn it back on. Can this be done without uninstalling CC? TIA. The site you refer to are speaking utter rubbish or they are up to no good. Give `em the elbow. CC is a standalone program and only springs to life when you press the button. Even if you leave it on, there is no active connection with the Internet. Kas
Kas the thread you have just posted in hasn't had a reply for almost 5 years Sorry, I never looked at the dating of it. Big laugh eh ? Should old threads like that be closed to avoid stumble bums like me falling into the pit ? Moderators DennisD Posted May 26, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 26, 2014 It would take us forever to do that Kas, but don't worry I always find it funny when someone does that. Been there myself.

Dennis, I am totally discomknockerated, but understand it would be an impossible task for a small staff to close a huge number of old threads. The only way would be a computer search and destroy operation, which in the case of a moderate sized Forum like this would be uneconomical. login123
Can the forum software be made to lock a thread after a certain time limit? Am thinking of the sheer number of posts the moderators have to look at every day. >whew< The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
Moderators Nergal Posted May 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 29, 2014 Moderators haven't that power we only can manually lock/delete threads and ban spammers ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
