wannabgeek
Don't wait.......give him a PM warning and............... I myself use a-squared, Spyware Blaster, Spybot, Ad-Aware and a small app from Vietnam Solutions called "VnS14H" which works silently in the background. I have used it for 4-5 months and appears to work very well and contains no spyware or adware and is free. Also use CCleaner of course! AVG Free and ZA Pro (paid) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi I have 'googled' "VnS14H" but cannot find any relation to the prog! Any links about it?
acooldozen
Try this link. I got it from the program itself. It works very well for IE and other browsers that employ the IE engine...such as Maxthon etc. http://www.vnsi4h.com/portal/index.php http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popu...i-Spyware.shtml ..........and Make yourself a Great Day! gunnarj
Thanks for the links to 'vnsi4h' - the reason we couldn't find it is the "i" in the name was listed as a "1" in the original post. And of such errors is confusion made. ) Thanks, acooldozen, much appreciated. will test out this program. gj ======= Try this link. I got it from the program itself. Moderators rridgely Posted November 2, 2005 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2005 Download these Inu-Ya Spyware blaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html Ewido http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ MS Antispy http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/s...re/default.mspx Those three are way better than the ones you have. Spyware blaster will keep you from getting infected and MSAS has a good real time scanner. Ewido has a better on demand scanner than any antispyware program and most AV's combined. She users only 140MB in all on her system. She has 1GB with on board Graphics and system detects 992MB of RAM. I use 208MB. my system is fine the way it is. but thx though. Tarun
The point rridgely is making is valid. AVG misses a ton of viruses, cleaning and removing both.

That was only because Ewido dosent work on those. I don't trust it anymore because it had issues giving false postitives. It also isn't that good at finding real viruses. If your on xp get ewido instead.

Note: Since they update it so often you'll probably be updating almost everyday.
Moderators hazelnut Posted November 20, 2005 Moderators Share Posted November 20, 2005 It will be a good addition to your security Predator to have Ewido. The prog. is so well run and trouble free, ( for me anyway ) As Anavari says you can apply the updates manually until your problem is sorted. Moderators rridgely Posted September 11, 2006 Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2006 Its listed as recommended by spyware warrior. http://spywarewarrior.com/sww-help.htm I've had good results with it removing things that no other program would remove. Especially the new vundo infection that is hiding itself in hijack this logs.(it hides O2 and O20 hjt lines) As far as I know its the only thing besides vundofix that will clean that up. Also it will remove some of the winfixer, spyaxe, smitfraud, infections.(not all yet but its better then most) I also like that the author goes to a lot of security forum and will address any questions/concerns. He seems like a very nice guy.
