kincaidkid
OK, I am NOT a computer whiz so I will take all the help I can get. I have had my computer about 3 years and it has really become sluggish. I read on another site about CCleaner and decided to check it out. I ran it tonight but have not deleted anything yet. I really scares me to delete stuff when I don't really know what it is that I am deleting. I have Windows XP, use IE, AOL and run AntiSpyware Beta 1 every day. I look forward to your suggestions. Thanks.
Greenknight
I suggest you read the Beginner's Guide, the second topic in this forum. It explains what is deleted when various settings are enabled. I can assure you, though, that if you run CCleaner with the default settings, you won't notice any difference except that your PC will run a lot faster. Moderators Andavari Posted August 22, 2005 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2005 Also after running CCleaner and depending upon how much crap it removes it'd be a good idea to defragment your hard disk following the cleaning process. Optionally use a registry compacter like NTREGOPT or RegCompact.NET to give your system a new spring in its performance.
