anyone recommend disk washers (freeware only) ?ia

Recommended Posts

im in the market for a diskwasher. i have a lot of old files that include some old system data that has cropped up during some recuver scans..and also wish to wipe away the old files saved and tagged as "recovery" files from recuva. some dating back to august 2008. must be freeware. i have win vista 32 bit. :P

From my prespective, winvista club is a very good forum for all things windows related.
They have helped me and many others in the past. Excellent hints and advice!

Hi, Xion44. :) I use WXP home 32 bit, so cannot say about vista. But . . .

Sdelete, from sysinternals, is very solid with wxp. Very light installation and operation. I use it. It says it works w/ wxp and higher.

Eraser is good with WXP, I use v. 5.84. Later versions may have problems, and there is no indication that older versions work with vista.

This post by Hazelnut has a link to another forum where the problems are described. Much good information.

Hope this helps. If you can, post what you work out.

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
