Hello,

:running Windows 7 Build 7000

Not sure if anyone has experenced this, after adding a check in the box to activate this option, nothing happens, in other words when right clicking the Recycle Bin the option to run CCleaner is not available. Is there a way to get around this? I am using v2.16 of CCleaner.

Thanks

I tried what you said in XP SP2 and it worked fine. Then I tried searching the registry for a key relating to this but was unsuccessful. Windows 7 is not fully supported by CCleaner yet so that could be the issue. I'm interested to know if there is a registry location to change this setting though.

Under XP and Vista the recycle bin context menu is located here: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

The full key for CC would be: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\Shell\Run CCleaner\command

The default value is: C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe /AUTO

I would have never found that. I never searched the CLASSES ROOT HKEY. I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for the help though Disk4mat! I hope this might help you RayD

Thanks for the help, the above worked great and I now have the option to run CCleaner from right clicking the Recycle Bin icon.

Just signed up to post and say thanks for this, worked perfectly for me under 64 bit Windows 7 as well, just had to add the (x86) after Program Files to make it work.

Also used it to make an Open CCleaner button too, just removed the /AUTO.

Thanks again.
