Automatic Update?

I've been using CCleaner for years, back when the C still stood for something. Anyways, my only complaint is the updates. Usually, I love updates. I mean, new features, bug fixes, there's nothing not to love.

However, it seems every time I run CCleaner, there's an update I need to download. I know this is my fault from not running it more often, otherwise I wouldn't have an update every time I open it. But it still gets annoying, to put it best.

Instead of opening up a webpage where the user then has to click a few links, download the latest version, and install, I think it would be great for it to include some tool that automatically (with consent of the user, of course) download and install the latest version, keeping all their settings in place.

If anyone is in the Trillian Astra Beta program, you'll know what I mean. When the program starts to open, it will check for an update. If there isn't one, then the program opens just like scheduled. But if there is, a little progress percentage will appear, and you can see it downloading the latest build. Once it's done, the installer will open, but at this point, it takes over, installing (while keeping my settings in place), closing the installer, and re-opening the latest version of the program.

I know this is a minute detail, but it's a feature I would love to see, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Makes the program simple, and as journalist David Pogue once said in a presentation, "Simplicity Sells".
