MyronJames
Hi, I just added a mirriored RAID to my PC. I've made several attempts to defrag my harddrive since but with no success. Instead it gets to about 9% and Crashes my PC. The screen goes dark and my PC is making a horrable high pitched noise until I turn it completly off. It boots up fine(but I was freeked the 1st time this happened) Any suggestions? UPDATE - 10-06-08 I was able to use the MS Defragger without incident. So, it's got to be something with Defraggler. websquad
Has the apparent lack of RAID support been fixed in Defraggler? I don't even want to try the product until I can be assured that it will not fry my disk subsystem. Both my "C" and "D" drives are pairs of RAID-1 drives. Guest MrRon
Can you post debug logs and we will look into this. MrRon
John Gray
I have a pair of 400 GB RAID-1 drives with XP Pro SP3, and as far as I am aware ordinary Windows programs have no idea whether disks are RAIDed or not! This is all handled transparently at a much lower level by the disk drivers. Certainly I've had no problem with any defrag program (the XP built-in Defrag, UltraDefrag, JKDefrag, Smart Defrag, Defraggler) which has anything to to with RAIDedness...
