Moderators Augeas Posted September 19, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 19, 2008 You cannot remove the deleted file names that Recuva lists from the MFT. This is quite normal with use on any pc, I should just live with it. You can overwrite the files if you wish, but the filenames will remain. Like "cleaned_0001.rcv".
Moderators Augeas Posted October 10, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 10, 2008 Not with Recuva. You could allocate a mass of files called cleaned_0001.rcv to cleaned_whatever, and then delete them. The allocation will use the spare entries in the MFT and overwrite the old names. Personally I wouldn't bother. The majority of them will go as you use your pc anyway.
