redline001
I wanted to completely remove Mozilla FF from my computer and then reinstall FF. Do I have to use CCleaner? I'm new to CC and wanted to know if someone could give me directions on how to go about removing it.
Moderators TwistedMetal Posted July 6, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2005 Add/Remove should work fine on Firefox. Moderators rridgely Posted July 6, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2005 Remember that if you want a truely clean install you will need to create a new profile. To do that go to start>run> type: firefox.exe -p. Delete your old profile and create a new one. Just remember to save your bookmarks if you want to keep them. Moderators rridgely Posted July 6, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2005 Look at this page it takes you through step by step at creating a new profile: http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile#new
Greenknight
Sometimes, when your Firefox installation is badly corrupted, you need to delete the Mozilla Firefox installation folder in C:\Program Files, and/or delete the entire Profile folder. But don't worry about that unless you are having problems after a normal "clean install".
