I could not find in the settings or options screen where to designate the creation of a registry backup file or where it is created. Please advise. Are you perhaps meaning a backup of the registry issues which CCleaner finds when it does an 'issues'clean? If so, you should be asked if you wish to make a backup of them when you do the 'issues' clean and they will be saved by default in your 'my documents' folder. Hi doulos737, Make sure that the option is "ticked" at Options > Advanced > Show prompt to backup registry issues. You should get the prompt in Registry issues whenever this option is set.
