craigathus
Hi guys I'm trying to determine what "type" of video card I have? Is my card a "PCI" or "AGP" card? NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128 MB Windows Device Manager Reports that the device is working properly. Location: PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0 GA-8VM800PMD-775 Motherboard Expansion Slots: 1 AGP slot & 3 PCI slots My video card is on the "AGP" slot, dose this mean that my video card is a "AGP" type of card? even though it's location is "PCI bus 1" I'm shopping for a new video card... and getting a little bit confused Thanks in advance for any helpful info http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds http://www.piriform.com/docs http://www.postimage.org/

Tunerz
It's obvious your video card uses AGP slot. Mine says PCI bus 1 too, but the important thing is to read the manuals of your motherboard and video card about compatibility.
YoKenny
Video adapters can use different sockets but they can't be interchanged. AGP is the preferred as it is much faster. Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_Graphics_Port NVIDIA use the AGP port. YoKenny
I need an "AGP Bus Type" of video card, that will work with my 300 watt power supply. Power supplies are inexpensive and a good quality 400 watt power supply can be purchased for $35.00. What do you want to do that needs a good video card? There are more video cards than you could throw a stick at: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Cat...lc.asp?CatId=28 Reviews of Video Cards: http://www.reviewfinder.com/video-graphics-cards I'm sure Google will turn up some places to purchase one Down Under.
