Working bar indicator

Recommended Posts

Not sure if a bug or not

The working bar indicator remains at the full mark after the files have been deleted

I also have files that reappear just after being deleted

I have run Dial a fix as suggest in one post - but not sure if had correct version - and also not sure what it was fixing. << Living on the wild side there.

These are the 2 files

CLEANING COMPLETE - (1.853 secs)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

481 bytes removed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Details of files deleted

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\PGP8JSPL\localhost\core.sol 53 bytes

C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol 428 bytes

I've even found the files and renamed them - no luck

Any help welcome

Michael

Hi Michael, and welcome to the forum.

It is normal for the indicator bar to remain on full on completion of cleaning. No worries there.

The two files you mention are flash cookies and will have been placed there by at least one of the sites you visit.

This is normal, and these cookies can contain logon/settings details for web sites. They can also be deposited by Yahoo and Google for example. Each time you visit that particular site they will appear again.

You can right click these files and open them in notepad, and you can usually then see where they came from. If they aren't anything you need to keep, then make sure the "Applications/Macromedia" box is checked in CCleaner, and they'll be removed when you run CCleaner.

If this doesn't solve your problem, post back.
