MarineDoc
A Happy June 1st to all. First time poster. Have been using CCleaner for some time now and feel it is a great program. My question is: Is there some way to back-up the "Cookies to keep" cookies? I am going to be doing a fresh Windows XP install and hate the idea of have to figure out what cookies I want to keep and which to delete. Thanks. YoKenny
MarineDoc, welcome. Save the CCleaner.ini file thats in C:\Program Files\CCleaner on a Flash drive or floppy. wikitech
Actually, the cookies to keep are in the user's registry at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Piriform\CCleaner in an entry called, CookiesToSave You can export this to a file. You'll want to do this for each user account on the computer if you're re-imaging. Otherwise, if you're just rebuiliding one user profile, export just that user's registry settings. Hi wikitech, The preferred way when talking about CCleaner in WinXp is YoKenny's method. That way the user can keep all his settings for CCleaner very easily. Unfortunately users with older OS's do have to do it the way you suggest. Best wishes, davey
