dawnkemmerlin
I keep getting the blue screen of death on my computer, then it shuts off. Sometimes it tells me to disable BIOS options such as shadowing or cacheing. Other times it tells me to do a memory check. Other times it tells me to uninstall any new hardware that I have installed. I have not installed any new hardware. I do not know how to do any of these other recommendations. I try to run CCleaner, but it keeps locking up and I get the error message below. I also try to run system mechanic but that too locks up. Any suggestions? Moderators Andavari Posted May 30, 2008 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2008 Lockups can be from faulty RAM, or RAM not seated correctly. You can test your system memory with the free Memtest86+, let it at the minimum perform 1 pass to see if it's RAM related.
Humpty
Might be malware related and may I suggest posting a hickthis log in the appropriate forum just in case.
