mikeygd
Hi, I recently had a nasty virus and lots of spyware/adware which i removed using various tools. I was wondering if theres anyway to find out if anything was stolen such as passwords as i use my PC for internet banking. What is the folder on my C drive called QooBox Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
CTskifreak
Qoobox is a folder created by Combofix to quarantine any infected files. From here. About passwords...that would be hard to tell. The "too late approach" is if you notice some weird transactions for you bank account. It's always just safe to change them. AJ

AJ Thanks for telling me what that folder was, that was a tool rridgely got me to run. I was hoping you wouldn't say that about the passwords, hehe. I guess ill have to change my passwords to be on the safe side. Thanks for the advice.
Moderators rridgely Posted May 29, 2008 Moderators Share Posted May 29, 2008 Its very possible that something stole your passwords, the only real way to know is if something happens. I would go ahead and change them all now and then again once we have your computer clean.
Robbie
it makes good sense that if there is the remotest possibility that a password has been compromised that the password is changed immediately.
