accidentally used delete entry instead of using uninstaller

Hi I'm a new user and I went through the Beginner's Guide. Sorry if this is a common topic.

I was trying to uninstall a program using the Tools, but accidentally hit "Delete Entry." Now the program won't show up for me to uninstall. Any suggestions on how to delete the program that doesn't show up on the uninstall list? the program is ArcView and it takes up a lot of space.

thanks!

Lisa

Does it still show up in control panel> add and remove programs list?

Or if it is installed in c\program files and you look for it there, open the file and see if there is an uninstall.exe (uninstaller) there.

Thanks for the suggestion. It does not show up in the control panel> add and remove programs list and there is no uninstall program within the file on C. I can still open the program, though, under my start menu>programs. I also looked for an uninstall option there and didn't find any.

help!

Try reinstalling the software over the top of your exsisting install to put it back into add/remove.

Also see info here for a technical slant on the subject. Make sure you check your arcview product is covered by this method before you even think about it.
