Where to get embedded INI files?

Well as you say you can embed files into an exe but I can't see how you can embed files into a zip. The fact that we can't extract MrT's files beats me. ;)

Huh?

I think you think I'm saying something I'm not.

You asked why the embedded were not included in the installation and I postulated as to why that was. It had nothing to do with the unopening zip file. You had said "if they are so important" they aren't they are informational onlyt.

that said

Yes it's called programming Before the ccleaner program is compiled into a program it is a number of different files, these files include the data that is known as winapp.ini, winsys.ini, winreg.ini. it used to be that these files were not intgrated into the file known as ccleaner.exe if you deleted these files ccleaner.exe would (in the past) show no programs/system/registry. We (the users) asked for it to be possibe to make ccleaner even more slim so they started to include the files inside the exe thus no longer needed to give them to us.

Mr. T provides these files to us as a service (for the reasons I explained above)

His zipping methods are a mystery to me and I'm not to concerned with it I know he's doing his best to fix it, and most of us who actually need/want to download it can (and do) use an alternate browser to get it.

 old Nergal coming out so, in order to honor requests made to me by Moderators, I'll leave it at that.

Thanks Pluto for noting the differences. :D

@Andavari

I have the INI files for 993 and will continue to use them if there are no fundamental differences. (other than the imroved Opera support which I don't use...)

Modified the winapp2 of 993 to clean PDF Complete which came bundled with my HP. So far no issues using it on the 999 build. Just thought I'd ask if the latest will be available.

And yes, faithful Firefox user here! :P No issues with downloading.

Guys,

Not every build (i.e. 993 - .999) is going to have a seperate Embedded INI :P Also the Embedded that are given here, have nothing to do with the function of the program, as I've alreadysaid they are there for purely informational purposes

They are in CCleaner.

Simply use ResHacker/Visual Studio/etc to see "inside" CCleaner.exe

Why not include these extras in the original distro? its only 10 KB guys!!!

and flag them in the config to dis/en-able them

as Aethec started, and as I said above, including them would be redundant and confuse most people. These are here for education and Support purposes, including them in the distrubution would server little purpose except to invite questions such as

I edited winapp.ini so it looked for firefox where I installed it but it didn't work. This makes me very angry I don't get why these are included they don't do anything
