Thunderbird

I like the way Thunderbird is set up, but it says i can't use it becasue it isn't compatible with Hotmail. is there a free email account service that is compatible with Thunderbird, say g-mail or yahoo?

Gmail allows you to do so. If you'd like an invite, just ask, I have several hundred.

I use yahoo free on it, I believe you can use hotmail too.

Hotmail did in the past allow pop3 connections but now only payed accounts have that feature.

 

There are many email providers offers pop3 or imap support.

 

The best email provider out there is probably Gmail. It's free of cost, over 2 gigabyte mailspace, spam protection, great features such as labels for categorizing email, mark mails with stars for easy find and archiving, Atom feeds (xml), etc.
