Roofel
Is it possible, to make the cleaner also checking for entries not linked to anything? I had a few entries from Programs ive uninstalled but it is still there so i had to manually remove it:) If that is possible i would be grateful as it would delete much more entries and prove much more useful:) Might slow the cleaner down a great bit, but it still be excellent to have:)Just to make it a option like a checkbox or something for it or do the usual cleaning:)
Moderators TwistedMetal Posted January 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted January 2, 2008 That is a common problem with most registry cleaners. I don't think anything can be done. Roofel
So all i can do is delete them manually? Also, I only cleaned out the files i found in HKLM(Local Machine)/SOFTWARE/ Is it any other place it lies? And ive heard having to much registry keys slows down your computer when it gets many. Is that true?
Moderators TwistedMetal Posted January 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted January 2, 2008 They are commonly found in HKLM/SOFTWARE and HKCU/SOFTWARE. As far as having alot of registry entries. That's pretty much a myth with todays hardware, just watch your startup entries.
