I keep losing the yahoo seal and have to reset it on my pc every time i start .. ta
Moderators Andavari Posted December 23, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2007 Two things to check and verify are: 1. Make sure CC is set to save the settings to the CCleaner.ini file by: Run CC, Options, Advanced, and make sure Save all settings to INI file is enabled. 2. If you've already done #1 and are still having troubles open the CCleaner program folder and make sure CCleaner.ini isn't set as read-only. tomcatonnet99
thanks did check both of the above and that doesn't seem to be the problem.... checked all other files within the program and found no mention of ini settings neither ? ( is that normal ??)
tomcatonnet99
Just a thought, and this would really help , where would you think yahoo seal or local settings for the same be found in the registry ? I could look up regedit and double check to see if alls in order... ta

davey
Hello tomcatonnet99, Do you know how to see hidden files. I am not sure how they were originally set but I have mine hidden because some other users of this computer like to play with things if you know what I mean. Back to basics .What do you mean by "losing yahoo seal"? There is some known bug about "losing Quick Launch icons" Is this what you mean? If so you can reset Quick launch by right clicking on task bar, point at toolbar and recheck Quick Launch .NEW release coming out next week may fix this. davey
tomcatonnet99
Hi Davey, Yep! gotta keep those files hidden from little people in the house... Nope! no hidden files on my machine, didn't have this problem with the very same version but now after I tweaked my registry for TCP/IP it doesn't seem to have gone down too well with this program! ( really has no connection ) Wish someone can help with the .sol extension(as regards regedit) which the Yahoo Sign in Seal uses coz I've included the Macromedia flash file folder where the logincache file ( the yahoo seal) is stored to the EXCLIDE from deletion setting in Cleaner options and it didn't help someone from Piriform??? anyone?? Moderators Andavari Posted December 28, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 28, 2007 If it's Adobe/Macromedia Flash derived, i.e.; the cookies and settings you have to disable this in CCleaner: 1. Run CC. 2. On the Cleaner button click the Applications tab. 3. Scroll down to Multimedia and untick Abobe Flash Player. Looks like this here:
