Capman
Anyone ever heard of and used this piece of software called FireTune for optimizing FireFox. Download available here: http://www.totalidea.com/freestuff4.htm
Moderators TwistedMetal Posted June 9, 2005 Moderators Share Posted June 9, 2005 It seems to work and it's a nice looking program. Tarun
Does the same thing as the tweak list found on my site. So you could install ChromEdit and install the tweaks that way with more features and better results.
Moderators rridgely Posted June 9, 2005 Moderators Share Posted June 9, 2005 Taruns right I just tried this program and it is slower than the chrom edit tweaks. I already had chromedit and installed this program and I could see it get significantly slower.
Capman
I am struggling with this chromedit thing, I download what appears to be it from the mozdev website, but I dont end up with an application, I get a file called chromedit.xpi. What do I do now.
Moderators rridgely Posted June 9, 2005 Moderators Share Posted June 9, 2005 It should install like an extension. Try to download it from here: http://cdn.mozdev.org/chromedit/ Then go to Taruns website and cut and paste the optimizations.

Once I have it on my desktop, I double click it, then get told by windows that it cannot open this file. I know I am doing something stupidly wrong, but dont know what. DjLizard
They can't be installed that way. Tools>Extensions Drag and drop the XPI onto the extensions pane. Capman
Thanks Dj, that was easy, Now I just have to paste the optimizations in like rridgely said? I'm guessing I just paste them in the same pane that I dropped the XPI.
