Moderators rridgely Posted September 3, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 3, 2007 http://www.av-comparatives.org/ They posted new on demand results. Antivir got advanced + and so did AVG Antimalware(which I guess is AVG AV and AVG AS. Luckily both are free). Avast got advanced so it looks like your good with any of the 3. I dont really put much trust into these kinds of tests but I guess some do. At least it looks like most popular AVs available seem to be doing pretty decent. Moderators DennisD Posted September 3, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 3, 2007 The measure of these things as we all know is how safe they keep you, although to anyone who hasn't any experience of them, I think it's a fair guide. Better than nothing.
login123
Thank you, Rridgely. Good information, worth reading. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. JAGO
If Norton could slim down their product and make a less intensive UI they'd be so much better...
CTskifreak
If Norton could slim down their product and make a less intensive UI they'd be so much better... So true... I have it on my 2 computers...it runs fine on my P4/2GB of RAM Dell, but on my other one, it definitely has slowed it down. WHen the subscription is up, I'm going to install AVG. On topic -- Interesting results, but I knew Windows Live Care was at the bottom (more or less), only besting Doctor Web's Dr. Web (BETA**) and Fortinet's FortiClient. Anthony A
If Norton could slim down their product and make a less intensive UI they'd be so much better... Might help if uninstalling it wasn't like trying to remove a tumor. That program disgusts me.
