I'm not sure how to find out if it's still needed. I just trusted Andavari that it was needed way back when. Ahhhh, the good old days. My 'DSOStop2' protection is still enabled, but i'm not sure if IE7 got that "Data Source Object" vulnerability...? Anyway, i use Opera as my default browser. I think that when you first time use it, it should tell you, if your system is safe from DSO vulnerability or not. The fixes for the issues affecting IE 5.01 Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 will be included in Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
