xbrianx
I signed on once and 4 IMs came up asking me something like "hey who is thisss?" And, I'll make up some name and they are always like "yeah, whatever". And, then a little bit later, they go "STOP IMING PEOPLE IF YOU WONT TELL THEM WHO YOU ARE!" I blocked them. I Googled for "random ims" and this came up http://journals.aol.com/adamkb/blog/ (random im's section) Anyone get any of these? One name was "haley duhhhx3" and another was "baseball4lyfe" I think. unsober
how do you know they are bots? they could of been real people
xbrianx
Well, I was just assuming they were bots when they all had similar responses no matter what I said, and they all typed the same. You know how people type "lik dis", or use "u" instead of "you"?
Moderators Andavari Posted August 8, 2007 Moderators Share Posted August 8, 2007 You know how people type "lik dis", or use "u" instead of "you"? It was probably just some dumbass. I've never liked IM programs because it always seemed when I was always in the middle of something like typing an email, etc., that damn chime would come up with a pest wanting to blab. Sounds about as irrating as mobile phones, one peice of technology that the users themselves put me off ever trying it.

That's another one, those damned phones which I will probably never own and I can't stand it when I'm driving and a passengers phone rings then they start to blab blab blab, annoying. Err I should say I wouldn't own one unless it was an iPhone, but soley because of all it can do.
TheFiresInTheSky
Not sure about the first one, but the second one has links. Myspace- http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...riendid=6895777 Google Search- http://www.google.com/search?q=baseball4ly...lient=firefox-a Maybe you know him? But it doesn't sound like a bot to me as it didn't send you spammy links. On second thought, maybe it was a friend pulling a prank on you, they have sites where you can do that. Ebaumsworld is one of them. -aaron
