Moderators hazelnut Posted July 8, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 8, 2007 Just wondered if anyone had used this software, notice it automatically backs up first. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Registry-Tweak/Baku.shtml apparently portable and stores no settings in registry Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Humpty
Gave it a run here on Vista. Installs into the programs folder under a Pmcc folder.Bit hard to find as I didn't take notice at the install and assumed it would install in a folder named Baku.No icons were created anywhere else. Ran it and it found 98 meg of supposedly redundant files. You have to hit the tick button to select all then next to delete or will will just go back to search. Found quite a few reg entries which I deleted. Seems to auto backup the reg entries but not the files deleted. Did it cause any probs? Don't know as reboot is waste of time as I'm running in virtual mode. Did it help? Yep, now I know where Vista stores some .old deletable system files. slowday444
I have one observation even though I've never touched it. Although the updates seem to have gotten quite, for several weeks I'd come home from work, check the freeware sites and there would be a new version. Awful tempting but I've been able to resist!
