Your Signature

Hi all B)

I've been mucking around trying to add some favorite website links to my signature.

The only way I can get them to work is by having the full (http://www.------.com/) thing :( , there must be a simple way?

Think you do it the same as posting a link in the forum.Paste the url - 0K then add the name for the link?

Hi Humpty

I'm still not sure what you mean? I know what you mean by (URL) but then... ?

Are you going to the menu and selecting insert link.Fifth from end.(oops,no smileys drop down in edit siggy)

Craig look below (just put [ ] around the whole thing and it makes the link you see.)

No Humpty  , what I've been doing is copying the address of the website from the address bar, and then pasting it in the (edit signature) box.

I'll give what you said a try

Yes, just like that, with the [/url] at the end.

Give it a try now.

The "insert link" from the menu automates the process.

Hi hazel :(

I just tried it again, as you can see still no luck :( , If you typed the exact procedure in a post for me, substituting say (www) for (zzz) then I could see exactly how to do it :)

EDIT: hooray  I did it 1%20(6).gif

See post number 9 craig.

Note there is NO / at the beginning next to [url=

the forward slash only comes at the end [/]

When you enter the url in the first dialogue box and hit ok a second dialogue box should come up for the name of the url.

Are you using Firefox with Noscript active for this site?

Give it a quick try, if it's wrong I'll delete it for you, and then no one but me, you and Humpty and... and ... will ever know.

Remember it won't show until you post it.
