YaBrowser

The Russian search engine Yandex has copied Google and released its own Chromium-based browser, called simply YaBrowser. Using it (it supports English) is very similar to using Chrome but naturally the history, cookies etc are kept in its own folders.

Any chance of CCleaner natively supporting the erasure of this browser's history, cookies etc?

If you can provide the paths, I can create some entries for you.

What are the advantages of using that browser over Chrome or Firefox?

Just curios...

Please raise this question in Software Area Super Fast as poster is asking about a specific thing and we should keep on topic.

Hi, I am just wondering, if you are still willing to do it? Please.

C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Yandex\YandexBrowser\User Data\Default\Cache

Not sure, which directories you require, but basically it should be the same like for Chrome.

For the record, I moved to Yandex services to replace Chrome or Gmail due to Google's privacy EULA.

Hi again! Someone emailed me with this request some months ago and I've since included them in winapp2.ini.

You can either download the full file from my signature, or, create a file called "winapp2.ini" (make sure the extention is .ini and not .txt) and place the following code in it

[Yandex Browser - Cookies*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKCU\Software\Yandex\YandexBrowser
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Yandex\YandexBrowser\User Data*|Cookies*
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Yandex\YandexBrowser\User Data*\Local Storage|.localstorage

[Yandex Browser - Installer*]

FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Yandex\YandexBrowser\Application*\Installer|*.7z

[Yandex Browser - Internet Cache*]

Wow, thank you, you are a lifesaver. Just one note, this has to be excluded, because it removes extensions settings:

FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Yandex\YandexBrowser\User Data\*\Local Storage|*.localstorage*

I would also like to know, is it possible to make cookie exceptions?

EDIT: Nevermind, I installed Vanilla Cookie Manager, it does a great job removing unwanted cookies. Thanks for everything.

I'll remove that filekey from winapp2.ini :)
