Writing back recovered files

Hi, When Recuva recovers a file, if I "recover" it back to the drive it is found on, does it simply re write the MFT/Directory entry or does it re-write it back to the drive?

i.e. am I destroying/over writing other files yet to be recovered on the same drive with Recuva? OR, do I have no worries

if it is re-writing the file again, wouldn't changing the MFT entry be easier and an advantage for users?

Yes you are likely destroying other files yet to be written. Not sure if your last paragraph is possible. You should with any recovery software restore to a separate drive

ok shame.

OK! ive recovered the drive how do i rewrite to another drive?

? I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean...however you need to start your own thread and provide many more details.
