Would like current info about "VLC Recent Media" clearing

Hi and I hope we can help each other. I have seen two topics about VLC clearing and they are old, but gave me some info. I have used Ccleaner for a long time. I now use Ccleaner v3.10.1525 (64bit). I have checked VLC in the media section of applications and I don't know what it cleans. "Recent Media" does nor clear and I must remember to clear it manually, which I am prone to forget. What, if anything can I do to have Ccleaner clear this data?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you know what you want cleaning then you can specify it in your own copy of Winapp2.ini.

You can add your suggestion to that topic to assist others,

and you can get advise upon how best to implement what you wish.

I believe the recent media is stored in an ini file, and can't be cleaned by CCleaner (yet)

As for the current VLC entry:

[VLC Media Player]
ID=2164
LangSecRef=3023
DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\videolan\vlc\vlc.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%appdata%\vlc\art\artistalbum\|*.*|REMOVESELF

It clears the album art cache.

What is the nature of the VLC improvements in the new version? My "recent media" cache still doesn't get cleared. Is there a particular reason why CCleaner can't edit the .ini file?

CCleaner doesn't have that ability (yet!)

The new cleaning cleans the following

FileKey2=%appdata%\vlc\art\arturl\|*.*|REMOVESELF

In addition to the old (listed above)
