Hello, new member and concerned about recent downloads of Recuva-Speccy-Defraggler...When I click on either of those I receive the msg "Windows stoped working".
The screen refreshes as I assume we all have experienced this msg before.
I have to click on the icon/program a second time to have it run. Is anybody here experiencing this problem? My PC is was recently sent in for this issue and was corrected..all my other programs etc..are humming perfectly..It's just seeing this happen again brings back a lot of fustration and long waits for my PC to be fixed..so I am just hoping thats not the case here and these are "Bugs" that will be resolved soon.
Kind Regards good people,
newsanno.
This sometimes happens to me, but not when a Piriform product is running. Try one or both of these.
Advice 1 --- Advice 2
I know those Windows Explorer crashing issues started after a Windows Update sometime in early 2010 as it plagues both of our XP Pro systems.
What I did was enable "Launch folder windows in a separate process" which put simply launches another Explorer.exe process when opening folders. It does use more memory/resources enabling it however I've found by enabling it it will often only allow that new separate process of Explorer to crash versus bringing the whole thing down. It's probably only a 75% remedy though.
