Under 'how to disable via the Windows Registry' i read:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main
but there is NO 'Microsoft Edge' under \Policies\Microsoft etc.

If you're on the newest CCleaner v5.64 it's built into CCleaner now and should automatically detect it for you and offer to disable it for you.
