Microsoft has retired their Live Gallery

Probably trying to focus development towards the windows 8 version of 'gadgets'

whatever that may be

Not surprising. Gadgets are disabled in 7 already and 8 has those new tiles. When I read the topic title I thought it was the photo storage service. :o

So did I - I was thinking "why would they shut that down?"

The only gadget I ever use is the generic analog clock. I'm not really into gadgets.

Thingamajigs though, I really like. And those whatchamacallits are neat. :D

I was never able to find a clock I liked that also displayed date. I found Weatherman gadget which has Date/Time/Weather and forecast. Pretty neat.
