Windows 7 & Pinned Files/Folders

I work a lot with my Taskbar in Windows 7. I have lots of files/documents and folders pinned to the Taskbar. When I run CCleaner, however, it deletes not only my recent files, but also those pinned files/documents and folders. Why is that? What option(s) must I select to prevent that from happening? If this is a known bug, is it being worked on? Any input would be awesome and most appreciated. Thanks! :)

Have you tried unchecking "Taskbar Jump Lists" from the Windows Explorer section of the cleaner?

I posted a bug report in CCleaner Bug Reporting forum the other day with no replies.

v2.24.1010 - Windows 7 Bug Clears Pinned Documents when Run

I have tried your suggestion of unchecking "Taskbar Jump Lists" from the Windows Explorer section of the cleaner.

This resulted in "recent documents" not being cleared out at all. But when I recheck "Taskbar Jump Lists" then run CCleaner, "recent documents" do get cleared along with Pinned Documents too.

In the Start Menu when you have a program such as a Text Editor or other document program in the main part of the start menu that first comes up when you click on it, if you bring your mouse over the program, you get the recent documents list for that program. In Windows 7 you can go into that list and Pin any visible document to that list so that it'll stay put. Or at least it should stay put, but version 2.24.1010 of CCleaner is removing such pinned documents.

A recent update of ccleaner includes an option for taskbar jump lists, so make sure that is unticked. Its in Windows Explorer section.
