Had a computer with about 30 entries in the start up items. About half were disabled. When I tried to delete any disabled item I would receive an error "Failed to delete startup item: The system cannot find the file specified".
Yet I could enable them ! The system was correct they did not exist, I assume the issue was caused by the Windows 10 upgrade installing later versions of the applications (eg Adobe Acrobat).
Not a problem you would think except Ccleaner left the entry and running the registry cleaner failed to find any of the 15 or so incorrect startup items. So there is no way for Ccleaner to fix the problem. I am now manually removing the entries from the registry.
So i am not sure if this is a bug or an enhancement request. Should Ccleaner be able to fix this issue?
BTW I ran Ccleaner both normally and "as administrator" made no difference.
