Winapp2.ini additions

Please remove the [setup Logs*] and [Diagnostics Logs*] from Winapp2.ini. I forgot that CCleaner does not remove locked items.

Could you pls rename

 to [html Help*]. It looks more professional.

CCleaner entries Paint Shop Pro X3, Paint.NET and Nero Burning ROM 10 are useless. Pls advise them to remove these entries. Also Real Player SP entry name needs to be corrected. It is RealPlayer. I have left messages in CCleaner Suggestions forum in past but, they haven't fixed these yet.

CCleaner cleaned those two entries just fine for me.

You mean [setup Logs*] and [Diagnostics Logs*]?

Please remove [MS Picture Manager*] as CCleaner's [MS Office Picture Manager*] is same.

I guess there was some problem with this forum. I feel some of the posts are gone from here.

It's the whole forum actually, see here:

Does 3.09 support regkeys of the form:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{0A22DB1E-8412-4D38-9011-F2525F13D995}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Find History]

where the \{whatever}\ can be anything? similar to the wildcard folder ability in this version?

I do not believe there is wildcard support for the registry.

[Windows CBS Logs*] entry should be removed from Winapp2.ini as it is already included in CCleaner's Windows Log Files.

New entry please

[AM-DeadLink*]

Default=False

Detect=HKCU\Software\aignes\deadlink

LangSecRef=3022

FileKey1=%AppData%\aignes\AM-DeadLink|deadlink.log

I think I have the correct LangSecRef, it checks browser favorites/bookmarks and downloads Fav-Icons, checks duplicates.

A general comment. Since winapp2.ini is getting huge now and many people just use the file and not extracting the entries they need, it would be very beneficial if DETECTFILE entries were replaced with DETECT ones, as reading from the Registry is always quicker than from the hard drive.

MODIFIED ENTRIES

[iTunes Logs*]

LangSecRef=3023

DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe

Default=False

FileKey1=%AppData%\Apple Computer\Logs|*.log

FileKey2=%WinDir%\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs|*.log

[iTunes Temp Files*]

LangSecRef=3023

DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe

Default=False

FileKey1=%Music%\iTunes|*.tmp|RECURSE

I have slowly over time switched to Detect= for some entries, but I don't have all of the programs. I will make greater strides towards this soon.

There were ideas floating around for a batch script that would search your drive and place all of the entries that would return true into the file for you, so you'd only have the entries relevant to your drive, but it never happened.

If anyone wants to submit Detect= Paths to replace DetectFiles, I'll gladly replace it. :)

Can I suggest RegKey6 is removed from:

[*Internet Explorer More]

It causes Windows Update site to prompt for permission for its active x every time you run it if this key is cleaned.
