I have Wi Fi running and working but Speccy says its not enabled? Is there something Ive missed?
Bumpity Bump!!!
If your wireless is working and Speccy says it's not - I'd know which one I'd believe.
Speccy is not perfect, there are other threads of it reporting a whole swag of things wrongly - from memory chips, CPU temperatures, graphics cards, plus more.
Speccy interrogates WMI to get its raw data then would do some internal crunching to convert that into information.
So make sure all your drivers are up to date, from wifi driver to motherboard BIOS, in case that helps Speccy play better with WMI.
But even that is no guarantee as it may be a new driver causing an issue and rolling back to an earlier version is needed.
In other words, it's a minefield.
Thanks for the heads up mate,I appreciate it. I forgot to mention that my CPU temp was jumping all over the place as well but it seems OK now! I clicked (like this)on your reply but a message box appeared saying You have used up your Quota of positive votes for the day? lol
yeah, that button/feature has not been turned on by the forum Admins.
so it's not just you and your over use of positive voting.
