Why is there a difference between Defraggler and W10 defrag results?

I ran Defraggler on W10. Oddly enough, when I first started, I had 5% fragmentation and after I ran Defraggler it jumped up to 25%! Anyway, Windows shows 0% fragmentation and Defraggler shows 24%. What am I supposed to believe?post-78327-0-56454700-1497187807_thumb.jpgpost-78327-0-17134900-1497187822_thumb.jpg

perhaps the fragmentation has just occurred? when was the last time you hit analyse for the Win10 defrag?

or maybe there is a difference between the files covered by both programs, like; pagefile, restore points, hibernation file temp files etc.

what settings do you run DF with? and what sort of defrag process was performed?

when you ran DF and went from 5% to 25%, have you ticked Stop VSS and ticked Exclude restore points and Exclude hibernation file ?
