Why doesn't speccy see my USB HDD?

Installed speccy, does the job, but fails to see my USB hard disk drive (WD 640GB)

Does said USB HD appear OK in "My Computer" and/or "Disk Management", and with a drive letter?

Have you tried a different USB port just to eliminate the faulty port possibility?

And the very obvious one .. could it be a new USB HD and maybe not formatted?

Yes, drive appears with drive letter, have tried different port (laptop, only two choices), not a new HD, working pull from my Dell Xenon Desktop (motherboard puked). FWIW, Carbonite sees it just fine (I have partitioned it--E: drive mirror/F: data).

Look under PERIPHERALS. My USB drives show there.
