Why does Speccy access the internet even though I have updates OFF?

Could someone tell me why Speccy is accessing the internet even though in the View-->Options-->Update

I have it UNchecked so am not allowing it access and yet I see my firewall telling me Speccy was one of the connections to the internet.

Specvcy scans the network and gives you data about your network connection, thus it needs access through the firewall
