Why AutoICS in registry?

And what is it?

(And Piriform, if you're listening, such information should be available somewhere,

so that users don't have to go fishing like this.)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Software\Piriform\CCleaner\AutoICS

(value repeated in MANY more locations)

There's also a RunICS setting. I searched the web for both of them but couldn't find any information detailing what they're for.

It may have to do with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) and seeing whether you have it set up for auto connections?

I was thinking Internal CCleaner Secret. :P

Here on win xp there is one registry entry for AutoICS. It is well hidden, a normal regedit will not show it. Fwiw.

SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\avast! Antivirus\AutoICS
