Who owns the sky?

Great story here made much more interesting by the pages of comments beneath it.

Nice read hazel.

What a strange world we live in. ;)

His argument for copyrighting a 3 letter word is frankly pathetic and quite laughable.

I really hope Skype kick his ass in court cos I cannot stand corporate thugs like him.

This reminds of the rather funny story about a guy Mike Rowe and his web site MikeRoweSoft.com

Guess which big software company got upset??

Richard S.

Looks like he got plenty of attention, though, 4 pages of comments so far. Pesky Skype. :P

The MikeRoweSoft vs Microsoft one is funny, as well as the lady suing McDonald's for hot Coffee... http://www.lectlaw.com/files/cur78.htm

I thought you were talking about the real sky lol :D

Sky™® high!

Another silly lawsuit, the truth is people must like sitting on court room furniture.:P

Same here lol.

I thought it was about the real sky too, imagine getting sued for breathing in the oxygen from the sky. I find it odd how there's so many copyrighted/registered trademarks of everyday uses English words.

In my opinion I just thing Sky are being greedy here. Its ridiculous! How many people think of "Sky" when they come across "Skype". I for one certainly didn't.
