Where is the bell so I can be notified when I get replies to my questions? I don’t see it.
i think it just subscribes you when post the question or a reply to a thread. Let’s hope you get it from this reply
You can see your notifications by clicking on your profile icon at the top-right of any page, a menu will drop down that shows you all of your notifications anyway with the unread ones highlighted.
eg The highlighted one here is telling me that there is a new post that needs to be moderated. (You won’t see those of course, only moderators get those).
It’s easier for you to give it a go than to try and describe it.
If you want to recieve notifications ‘Real Time’ when you are logged in then:
Go to your user profile - click your username anywhere, then click it again in the pop-up that opens:
Next click the “Preferences” cogwheel.
Then choose “Notifications” and enable ‘Live Notifiations’, note what is says about if you use more than one browser:
You can if you want to set it to send email notifications as well:
