What is Cleaned in Office 2016

I notice that CC finds a very large amount of file space that can be freed from Office 2016. I did not see a place that describes what is actually being cleaned. Is this documented somewhere? It was such a large quantity that I'm worried that I might be purging useful files.

I'm a relatively new user so apologies if I missed this information somewhere.

Thank you,

right click on the Office 2016 entry and click Analyse, that'll show you what CC wants to clean.

actually, that'll only give a small picture of it as that will only show the files cleaned and not the registry entries (such as recently opened documents).

As far as 2016, the following is the rule that ccleaner's latest (as of the date on this post: future readers) version cleans

All of the MRU regkeys are your most recently accessed files

I didn't worry about the reg stuff as it takes up no space (well, so little you can say no space) :)
