There was a page explaining what each single feature of CCleaner does: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs
Also found at: ccleaner.com/knowledge/new-documentation-site?cc-noredirect=
The 2009 refers to the article creation, not that docs were not updated.
But now i'm just redirected to a generic and useless help page: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/?language=en_US
Ironic how they removed what was actually helpful. What's so hard about letting both exist at the same time? Why delete a whole page, that was so uncalled for.
I tried using Archive.org to see if it was archived but nothing. Oh but If i knew this would end up happening...
i do think that ccleaner-support webpages are VERY confused, where it is virtually impossible to find useful information, like what each of the cleaning-options do. that would be helpful. they have added a lot of cleaning options where i have no idea what they are. i think the list of cleaning-options should be simplified to where they are just simple, basic things where people know what they are.
one thing that i don't understand is where it talks about removing network passwords. that makes no sense to me.

Exactly! The docs was the page that said all of this, what each single function did, and they removed...
Though regarding network passwords, i'd assume if you clean that you'd lose the access to already known wi-fi networks? So you'd have to re-enter the password once you tried to connect again
Yeah, can't find it no matter where i go. No wonder datahoarders are so paranoid lol. I will take my time saving every guide i find on Archive.org or save the page html from now on, just to make sure this never happen again....
Hi Adammy661:
The support documents can still be accessed online at https://support.ccleaner.com/s/. However, for some unknown reason Avast / Piriform as removed the main index (table of contents) that displayed a complete list of all the sections and subsections of the help articles on one page , and they now force you to search for the individual help article you're looking for.
For example, if you search for "registry cleaner" at https://support.ccleaner.com/s/ one of the many suggested articles is the familiar "Clean the Windows Registry" at https://support.ccleaner.com/s/article/clean-the-windows-registry.
