What happened to the forums?

Whole machine went away so they moved our forum to another.

In the wee hours of this morning I had thought this place was hacked until I looked up that .org address it was redirecting to and found out it was completely legit, that coupled along with Piriform.com being up and running made it very clear it was a forum issue only.

With allot of the forum issues from the upgrade to now this, is Piriform ever thinking of switching forum brands?

I don't think switching brands (other than the fact that the forum is currently being hosted by the brand's manufacuterer I believe) would have fixed the issues the otherday, when a server goes down a server goes down. If there is no mirror (especially if it is on a some sort of shared v-server) than fried is only retrievable to the previous backup (in this case 1 day)

Not too sure how long it was down for again last night.

It's very disheartening for Piriform and disappointing for us.

Noticed the downtime, too.

wot hapenedd to spellll chekkking

Did we lose that with these recent roll backs ?

I am sure I remember litle red squiggles appearing under my words when my computer made a mistake about which keys I pressed in what order.

Spell checking red squiggles still work for me in Opera

Sorry, my bad.

I risked an update to Firefox 9 Beta yesterday and it did not work - on this site.

I quickly found it worked on other sites.

With a missing spell checker I blamed the last thing that did me harm.

Now seen that the update to Firefox 9 disabled the dictionary.

All good again.

I guess forums went down again, couldn't access today until now.

Server problem again I think as a ping resulted in no packets from the host.

We'll have to build our own server :)

Sounds about right, Hazel.

We just need some homegrown forums software too (and the old CCleaner theme, because I still miss it :()

I miss it too :(

It was definitely easier on the eyes, in my opinion, but I just happen to be partial to the shade of blue it was

That old CCleaner skin?

Happy days for sure.

CCleaner skin

CCleaner skin

Those two words with a Red Smiley can only mean one thing.

Acne - I hear that Clearasil can fix that

When can we expect CCleaner for faces?
