What do you call it [USB drives]?

If you said memory stick you are wrong! USB Flash Drive is the official name.

Flash drives and memory sticks are completely different things!

Regardless of what people call it, if you know what they mean then that is all that matters.

Besides it is the manfacturers that can't seem to make their minds up.

See here.

You will notice one on there is called a memory stick.

Yes there are about 30 nicknames for them, call it whatever you want, but USB Flash Drive is the official name.

'Memory Stick' is in fact a Sony Trademark, so no manufacturer will be able to give their product that name.
